The LinkedIn study suggested that professionals in these fields are much more likely to switch jobs during the five-year timeframe after graduation if you work in a certain sector (Media & Entertainment, Professional Services, or Government / Education / Non-Profits). It can even lead to an entirely new profession in some cases.
So, keeping in mind these usual patterns, here are ways you can help keep your resume fresh and ready to go. The positive news is that keeping the resume updated really doesn’t take much time. You don’t have to work for a finished piece on an ongoing basis, but it is suggested that you at least have points in place so that you know where you can highlight and draw on new experiences and abilities on your resume when the time comes. Keep track of changes to be added to the CV, and remember to:

- Document the main achievements at work.
- Write down fresh skills learned and how they were used at work.
- Take note of work awards that recognise you as professional or new certificates.
